Only if required by the scheme owner, accreditation body, or law will we share information we obtain during our audits with these organizations. All these organizations are then also bound by confidentiality. No other party will receive any information about your product, process, or company from us without your express written consent.
The reason is simple: we must rely on your cooperation to provide us with the information we need to make an objective decision regarding your compliance. We cannot jeopardize this by handling your trusted information without due care.
At the same time, we require that you treat any information you collect about our operations with the same confidentiality. In your efforts to protect your organization's privacy, you cannot deny us access to information or objects. We require full access to your organization to conduct an audit and then make an informed decision, and therefore you must provide it to us.
Your refusal to grant us access may even result in the termination of the audit. Similarly, a previously agreed audit may only be cancelled for compelling reasons. Typically, only force majeure or natural disasters can result in either party canceling a scheduled or ongoing audit.
