Control Union strives to provide all stakeholders with assurance and confidence that the product, process, service, or organization it certifies meets the requirements of the relevant inspection or certification standard. For this reason, the certification process is outlined in procedures that describe the entire process, from application to certificate issuance, and who is authorized to conduct such activities.
Control Union's procedures are based on the principles of objectivity and integrity. These procedures are discussed by our Advisory Board, which consists of representatives from our core business sectors, including forestry, food production and processing, energy, trade, transport, and consumers.
The Board is an independent body that advises Control Union's management on the development of policies and principles related to impartiality and credibility of certification, including transparency and public perception.
Control Union is accredited by local and international accreditation organizations, such as Dutch Council for Accreditation (RVA) and Accreditation Services International (ASI).
